Please note: The Westley Door Knocker may not be suitable for a composite door (depending on what material it is made from) as it is fitted with screws and may be too heavy for the outer layer. In this case we recommend our Lion's Head or Melton knockers as these are fitted with a bolt and nut that goes right through the door. Finish Polished Lacquer: Really showcases the stunning natural patina of the metal and is a great choice for a contemporary home or to update a traditional one. To produce the gunmetal grey colour, we polish the metal then seal it with a high gloss clear lacquer to create a finish with great durability. The texture and patina of the iron itself gives the product character which looks wonderful with a grey or natural colour way and works particularly with other metallic finishes such as nickel.
