At Jim Lawrence, we believe that the exterior design of your home is as important as the inside because what you choose to put outside serves as a teasing taster of the beauty within. We think our Westley Door Knocker does the job superbly.
A handsome, heavy weight door knocker, the Westley will provide a stunning finishing touch for your door. Its design, with a sturdy circular knocker ring and square back and striker plate, gives it a pared down, contemporary feel that would look magnificent on any front door. The Westley is handcrafted using traditional metal working techniques that have been passed down through the generations, and highlights the skill of our metal workers and their ability to produce products that suit contemporary and period properties. The Polished finish will tackle anything our unpredictable British weather throws at it and will provide a unique look to your front door for many years.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Dimensions: 12W x 14H x 3D (cms)
Suitability: Not suitable for composite doors.
The Westley Door Knocker may not be suitable for a composite door (depending on what material it is made from) as it is fitted with screws and may be too heavy for the outer layer. In this case we recommend our Lion's Head, Melton and Doctor's door knockers as these are fitted with a bolt and nut that goes right through the door.
FINISH
Polished: A gunmetal finish that highlights the natural colour of polished, lacquered iron for a vintage or industrial look that suits a contemporary setting and will update a traditional one. To produce the finish, we coat our steel products in a metallic lacquer that emulates the texture and patina of iron and gives the product great character that looks wonderful with grey or natural colourways and works particularly well with other metallic finishes such as nickel. Our Polished finish works well with natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster and woodwork.
