We are delighted to introduce our bold new Westbourne Glass Pendant Light that, with its tubular shape, strong lines and ribbed glass shade, has a vintage glamour that is reminiscent of the graceful Art Deco style lighting that was popular in the 20s and 30s. Art Deco design is characterised by bold, delineated shapes, geometric patterns and sharp lines and was revived during the 1970s and remains hugely popular in moder interiors today.
Shown above in our heritage antiqued brass finish, The Westbourne encapsulates the trend for textured glass and warm metallic fittings around the home. It features a handblown, elongated, tubular glass shade with distinctive wide ribbing that refracts light beautifully along its lines, creating a soft, hazy glow that ensures it becomes a stunning focal point wherever it is fitted.
The Westbourne adds texture and lightness to a scheme without encroaching on the sense of space, making it ideal as a living room light, for bedside lighting or to brighten up a narrow hallway. All Jim Lawrence products are made using traditional metalworking techniques that have been passed down through the generations and every item is hand finished to the highest standards at our workshops in Suffolk. Antiqued Brass: A beautiful, natural finish produced by gently distressing the brass to create a soft patina that is then treated with antiquing solution to speed up the natural tarnishing process and create a lovely aged look that will darken naturally over time. Antiqued Brass is an incredibly versatile finish that works well with any colourway and natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster or woodwork and looks equally at home in a modern property as it does a period one.
