With its delicate flourishes and dainty propotions, our Versailles Wall Light is inspired by French Rococo designs that was popular during the 1700s and much admired by Marie Antoinette. A pared down version of the ornate gilding found in the Palace of Versailles that was copied extensively in British stately homes, the Versailles features stylised fronds that will lend your interior a sweet, decorative touch that will sit comfortably in a period home or bring a sense of luxury to a more modern one.
All Jim Lawrence products are handcrafted using traditional metal working techniques that have been passed down through the generations and are hand finished to the highest standards at our Suffolk workshops. The Versailles is made from solid, natural brass that is gently antiqued for a subtle, aged appearance.
- We recommend our small bayonet, SBC Candle LED Filmament Bulb as the perfect accompaniment to your light as it is energy efficient, has the look of a heritage bulb and gives off a wam white light.
- A shade will need to be purchased separately.
