Hand forged from high quality natural brass that has been highly polished for a bright, reflective look, this letter plate has a beautiful, weighty quality that can only be achieved by traditional metalworking methods. All Jim Lawrence products are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the highest standards at our Suffolk workshops. our external letter plates are sprung so can be used vertically. However, our internal letter plates do not have a spring, so are not recommended for doors with vertical letterboxes. Kindly note, brass is a natural metal and will tarnish (darken) with age. STEP 1 First correctly position the plate on the outside of your door STEP 2 Mark where the bolt holes need to be. STEP 3 Remove the plate and drill the bolt holes. STEP 4 Reposition the plate and screw into place with the 2 bolts, washers and nuts provided.
