The single version of our Double Gosford, this country modern wall light will bring a sense of classic styling to your kitchen, dining room or bedroom. Hand forged from high quality steel that has been beeswaxed for a soft, black, wrought iron look, the Single Gosford has been designed with a low slung curved arm, dainty drip tray and generously proportioned backplate that won’t take up too much space on your wall, but still shows off the quality of its styling. The Single Gosford has a compact, weighty quality that befits its handmade nature and is designed to suit modern and period properties.
Jim Lawrence has worked hard over the past 20 years to build up an international reputation for classic, high quality lighting and we feel our Gosford really encapsulates our passion for elegant, period look wall lighting. All our lights are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop.
- This is a flush fitting light so you may need to use an architrave box and reducer lid behind the backplate to hide the wiring if you cannot make a cavity in your wall - see Our Backplates Explained.
- We recommend our LED Clear Candle Bulb as the perfect accompaniment to your light as it is designed to replicate the traditional look of an incandescent bulb, lights up instantly, is dimmable and will flood your room with a soft warm light.
- The Double Gosford is not supplied with shades but we have a huge collection of handmade candle clip shades in a multitude of colours to find your perfect match.

FINISH
Beeswax: A traditional technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. To find out more about our finishes and how best to maintain them, please read our
