Our classic forged iron Maldon Wall Light is a neat, versatile wall sconce with an understated elegance that will look wonderful illuminating any kitchen, bedroom or dining room wall. Similar in look to our popular Chester Wall Light, we have adapted it to take a candle shade so you can choose the style and colour that best suits your interior.
Handcrafted from high quality steel, the Maldon’s design incorporates a swan neck shade arm with a wide candle tube holder to produce a pretty wall sconce with a classic outline that will look fabulous adorning the walls in any room in your home where it will add soft layers of light to your scheme. This light has been finished in beeswax, a traditional method for darkening metal that gives it a beautiful soft black patina.
Style the Maldon as you like with our gorgeous candle shades in French Drum, Empire, Tapered or Cylinder shapes to achieve four very different looks for your home. All our shades are handmade here at our Suffolk workshops by our talented team of shade makers.
- We recommend our SBC Candle LED Filament Bulb > as the perfect accompaniment to your light as it has the look of a traditional bulb, lights up to full strength immediately, is dimmable and has a lovely warm white light and a brightness of 470 lumens, equivalent to an old style 40W bulb.

How To Care For Beeswax Products Finish
Beeswax: A traditional metalworking technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be re-waxed occasionally.
Kindly note, we do not recommend the beeswax finish for use in a humid environment, as it is harder to maintain and may rust. We feel Matt Black is a preferable option.
