DESCRIPTION Our hand forged, solid steel Large Cannonball Holdbacks are the perfect match for our Cannonball curtain pole finials. Shown above in our classic beeswax finish, these holdbacks will keep your curtains neat and tidy when they are drawn back and provide a decorative touch to your interior scheme.Available in two sizes, the larger holdbacks can be used for any curtain but are generally recommended for curtains with double width of fabric or where they are thick and heavy. Beeswaxing is a traditional technique used since Tudor times to darken forged iron and give it a lovely, soft black rustic feel. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax that looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior.Kindly note, we do not recommend the beeswax finish for use in a humid environment as it is harder to maintain and may rust without regular rewaxing. We feel matt black is the better option.
