We are delighted to introduce you to our beautiful new Hartley Wall Light, that, as a first for Jim Lawrence, has been designed with delicate crosshatching details around the glass shade to give it decorative, retro appeal and an industrial touch. We feel the Hartley combines the best of modern design with old fashioned styling flair to ensure it creates a stunning focal point wherever it is fitted.
Shown above in our antiqued brass finish that gives it a subtle, aged appearance, the design encapsulates the trend for textured glass and warm metallic fittings around the home. The handblown glass shade refracts light beautifully along its lines creating a soft, hazy glow that is ideal as a kitchen light, for living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. The beauty of glass is that it bounces light everywhere making the most of any available light without encroaching on the sense of space in a room.
As with all our products, the Hartley is handcrafted using traditional metalworking techniques that have been passed down through the generations and is finished to the highest standards at our Suffolk workshops.
- It is also available as a Hartley Pendant Light.
- This light comes supplied with the glass shade but a bulb will need to be purchased separately.
- We recommend our SBC Golf Ball LED Filament Bulb as the perfect accompaniment to your Hartley as it is energy efficient, lights up to full strength instantly and gives off a warm, white light.
Please note: this glass is a natural resource and as each piece is individually handblown, slight imperfections may occasionally occur such as ripples and small bubbles.

Antiqued Brass: A beautiful, natural finish produced by gently distressing the brass to create a soft patina that is then treated with antiquing solution to speed up the natural tarnishing process and create a lovely aged look that will darken naturally over time. Antiqued Brass is an incredibly versatile finish that works well with any colourway and natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster or woodwork and looks equally at home in a modern property as it does a period one.
