The latest addition to our extended family of Hanson wall lights, this clever forged iron wall sconce is designed with a single swing arm that enables you to move the light where you need it. Also featuring an in-line switch and plug and supplied with a neat cable holder to hold the flex to your wall, the Hanson Library Wall Light is a versatile light that can be plugged in wherever you need it without the worry of internal wiring.
One of our daintier designs, the Library Light has a narrow, deep, rectangular backplate that is ideal for fitting onto shelves, bookcases and storage units. It looks elegant on its own in a small space, or fitted on either side of a bed, dressing table or above a desk or your favourite armchair for additional reading light. The advantage of using a plug-in instead of a table lamp is that you can make a style statement while keeping surfaces free for any bits and bobs you need. The Hanson is made from high quality steel that is finished in beeswax for a rustic black appearance and is also available as a standard wall light with, or without, a pull cord.
Shades sold separately.

FINISH
Beeswax: A traditional metalworking technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives it a lovely soft black wrought iron effect that looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be re-waxed occasionally.
