All
Jim Lawrence lights are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop. Our Double Diamond is made from high quality steel that is dipped in beeswax for a traditional, aged look that makes an excellent choice for anyone wishing to update their interior without losing any sense of period charm.
- This is a flush fitting light please see Our Backplates Explained.
- We recommend our LED Clear Candle Bulb as the perfect accompaniment to your light as it has the look of a heritage bulb, lights up to full strength instantly, is dimmable and will flood your room with a soft warm light.
- The Double Diamond is not supplied with shades but we have a huge collection of handmade candle clip shades in a multitude of colours to find your perfect match.
Kindly note that we do not recommend beeswax for use in areas of high humidity as the finish is not waterproof and will deteriorate. We feel matt black is the better option. PRODUCT INFORMATION

FINISH
Beeswax: A traditional technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be rewaxed occasionally.
