One of our most popular wall lights, the Double Classic is an elegant, low slung fitting that combines the best old fashioned styling with a contemporary design to suit any type of home. It features two slender shade arms holding generously proportioned drip trays that emerge from a simple curved back strap, giving it a modern vintage appearance that would look lovely in a contemporary setting and would update a more traditional one.
Fit it on its own or as a pair to bring ambient light to a kitchen, dining room or bedroom, or in a row to bring much needed light to a narrow hallway, landing or stairwell. Shown above in antiqued brass, this wall light is made from solid, natural brass that is gently antiqued to give it a subtle, aged appearance that will not date.
All
Jim Lawrence lights are made using traditional metal working techniques and are finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop.
- This is a flush fitting light, so you may need to use an architrave box and reducer lid behind the backplate to hide the wiring if you cannot make a cavity in your wall - see Our Backplates Explained >
- We recommend our LED Clear Candle Bulb as the perfect accompaniment to your light as it has the look of a heritage bulb, lights up to full strength instantly, is dimmable and will flood your room with a soft warm light.
- The Double Classic is not supplied with shades but we have a huge collection of handmade candle clip shades in a multitude of colours to find your perfect match.

Lighting FAQs Wall Light Fitting Guide Finish
Antiqued Brass: A beautiful, natural finish produced by distressing the brass to create a soft patina that is then treated with antiquing solution to speed up the natural tarnishing process and create a lovely aged look that will darken naturally over time. Antiqued Brass is an incredibly versatile finish that works well with any colourway and natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster or woodwork and looks equally at home in a modern property as it does a period one.
