DESCRIPTION Our stunning Chester Door Handle range takes its inspiration from a heritage of great British design, incorporating traditional faceted detailing with the best modern materials and handcrafted skills to produce a great quality handle that will look fabulous for years to come.The Chester is a classic handle available in a variety of back plate styles and our forged iron and antiqued brass finishes to ensure it suits any style of door. The Rowley backplate is round in shape with a smooth bevelled edge, perfect for a classic touch to your door. This handle is made from high quality forged iron that is beeswaxed for a traditional, soft black look that will never date.The handles are supplied as a pair with backplates and fixing screws in the same finish.They are sprung on one side and are supplied with a 75mm length spindle that can be cut down to size.We can supply a 90mm spindle upon request.PRODUCT INFORMATIONBackplate Dimensions: 6cm W x 6cm HPlate: This plate can be used for any door where a lock is not required, or where a lock is separate from the backplateAdditional Information: Our door furniture is not fire rated.KNOWLEDGE BASE GUIDESLocks, Latches and Bespoke HandlesBespoke EurohandlesDo I need Right or Left Handed Handle?FINISHBeeswax: A traditional metalworking technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives it a lovely soft black wrought iron effect that looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be re-waxed occasionally.Kindly note, we do not recommend the beeswax finish for use in a humid environment, as it is harder to maintain and may rust. We feel Matt Black is a preferable option.
