DESCRIPTION Our stunning Chester Door Handle range takes its inspiration from a heritage of great British design, incorporating traditional faceted detailing with the best modern materials and handcrafted skills to produce a great quality handle that will look fabulous for years to come. The Chester is a classic handle available in a variety of back plate styles and our forged iron and antiqued brass finishes to ensure it suits any style of door. The Ilkley backplate has straight, bevelled edges with corner notch detailing, perfect for a contemporary or traditional feel to your door. All Jim Lawrence products are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards at our Suffolk workshop. This Chester is made from solid natural brass that is lightly antiqued for a subtle aged look and has a wonderful weighty quality that befits its handmade nature. The handles are supplied as a pair with back plates and fixing screws in the same finish. They are sprung on both sides and with a 75mm spindle that can be cut down to the depth of your door. We can supply a 90mm spindle upon request. Product Information Backplate Dimensions: 10cm H x 5cm W Plate: A short plate can be used for any door where a lock is not required, or where a lock is separate from the backplate. It is produced by distressing the brass to create a soft patina that is then treated with antiquing solution to speed up the natural tarnishing process and create a lovely aged look that will darken naturally over time.
