DESCRIPTION
Our stunning Chester Door Handle range takes its inspiration from a heritage of great British design, incorporating traditional faceted detailing with the best modern materials and handcrafted skills to produce a great quality handle that will look fabulous for years to come.

The Chester is a classic handle available in a variety of back plate styles and our forged iron and antiqued brass finishes to ensure it suits any style of door. The Ilkley backplate has straight, bevelled edges with corner notch detailing, perfect for a contemporary or traditional feel to your door. All Jim Lawrence products are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards at our Suffolk workshop. This Chester is made from high quality steel that is polished to a deep, gunmetal grey for a contemporary look and has a wonderful weighty quality that befits its handmade nature.
  • The handles are supplied as a pair with back plates and fixing screws in the same finish.
  • They are sprung on both sides and with a 75mm spindle that can be cut down to the depth of your door.
  • We can supply a 90mm spindle upon request.

Finish

Polished Lacquer:  This really showcases the stunning natural patina of the metal and is a great choice for a contemporary home or to update a traditional one. To produce the gunmetal grey colour, we polish the metal then seal it with a high gloss clear lacquer to create a finish with great durability. The texture and patina of the iron itself gives the product character which looks wonderful with a grey or natural colour way and works particularly with other metallic finishes such as nickel. It also looks great against natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster or woodwork and looks equally as good in a modern property as it does a period one.
