This Bromley is made from forged iron and finished in beeswax for a lovely rustic look and has a wonderful weighty quality that befits its handmade nature. The handles are supplied as a pair with back plates and fixing screws in the same finish. They are sprung on both sides and with a 75mm spindle that can be cut down to the depth of your door. We can supply a 90mm spindle upon request. PRODUCT INFORMATION Backplate Dimensions: 10H x 5W (cms)Plate: A short plate is used for any door where a lock is not required or where the lock is separate from the backplate.FINISH: BEESWAX - A traditional metalworking technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives it a lovely soft black wrought iron effect that looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be re-waxed occasionally.Kindly note, we do not recommend the beeswax finish for use in a humid environment, as it is harder to maintain and may rust. We feel Matt Black is a preferable option. KNOWLEDGE BASE GUIDES Door Handles FAQLocks, Latches and Bespoke HandlesDo I need a right or Left Handed Handle? How To Clean Beeswax
