Cabin hooks are a convenient way to keep doors open and can be used intnernally or externally. They are suppied in two parts with a hook that fixes to the wall and an eye that is attached to the door. When hooked together it secures the door open allowing easy, hands free access.
There are no rules to where to install a cabin hook as it comes down to personal preference and where you are placing it. On French doors cabin hooks are generally positioned on the bottom of the door, while on a front or back door they are often installed just above the door look.
