A stunning, contemporary light with clean straight lines, the Atkins is one of our more minimalist designs, ideal for updating a room and for adding those all-important layers of light to a scheme. It is also incredibly versatile as it can be used with a selection of different shaped pendant shades to create a very different look.
Hand crafted from high grade steel and polished to a deep gunmetal grey look, the Atkins features a deep rectangular backbox to hide the wiring and a strong top fitting shade arm. It is a fairly flush wall light and looks fabulous lighting up a bedroom, hallway or dining space where it helps to create a cosy, inviting atmosphere.
All
Jim Lawrence lights are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop.
SHADES As it sits close to the wall, the Atkins will only take shades that are up to 16cm wide. We recommend pairing your Atkins with our
13cm, 15cm and 16cm cylinder shades or our smaller
straight sided oval shades. You can also try our
15cm straight sided square shades, 30cm rectangular shades and our range of
half shades that have a slider to adjust the shade closer or further from the wall.

How to maintain metallics Lighting your home What style of lampshades are there? Wall light fitting guide Finish
Polished Lacquer: This really showcases the stunning natural patina of the metal and is a great choice for a contemporary home or to update a traditional one. To produce the gunmetal grey colour, we polish the metal then seal it with a high gloss clear lacquer to create a finish with great durability. The texture and patina of the iron itself gives the product character which looks wonderful with a grey or natural colour way and works particularly with other metallic finishes such as nickel. It also looks great against natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster or woodwork and looks equally as good in a modern property as it does a period one.
