DESCRIPTION
Enjoy the luxury appeal of our modern, 4 Gang Toggle Switches that are handcrafted from solid, natural brass or forged iron, in a choice of our most popular finishes, to elevate your interior decor and ensure you achieve a complementary look to your surruoundsings. Shown above in our beeswax finish, these switches have a more pared down, industrial feel than our traditional dollies, so will add a touch of contemporary style to any room in your home.

Each switch is 20amp, 2 way, which means a single light can be controlled by 2 switches in a room. The design incorporates a black toggle with a slimline plate that sits flush against the wall, and chamfered edges for a sleek, modern look. All our switches and sockets are designed to be durable making them a great choice for areas with high traffic such as kitchens, bathrooms and hallways.

Kindly note: Please ensure paint & plaster is completely dry before fitting beeswax switches and sockets to a wall. Our switches are designed to sit flush against the wall so any residual moisture might tarnish the finish.

If you need to switch the light on from more than 2 positions (e.g. middle of the stairs) you will need an intermediate module which can be added for a small additional cost upon request. All Jim Lawrence products are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop. We can provide bespoke switch configurations with the same classic design upon request. Please call our sales team to discuss your requirements.
  • This switch requries a double 35mm back box to hide the wiring (purchased separately)
  • If you are unable to ceate a cavity in your wall, we also make a double  35mm surface mounting box (purchased separately).

FINISH

Beeswax: A traditional metalworking technique used since Tudor times to give a rustic, soft black finish. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives it a lovely soft black wrought iron effect that looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be re-waxed occasionally. For more information and cleaning tips, see our Product Finishes page

Kindly note, we do not recommend the beeswax finish for use in a humid environment, as it is harder to maintain and may rust. We feel Matt Black is a preferable option
