DESCRIPTION They say great design is in the detail, and we feel our new range of push button switches proves it. These 2 gang black button switches are handcrafted from high quality steel and and finished in beeswax for an elegant, aged look that will add a touch of contemporary style to any room in your home. Our button switch plates are all made with a slimline brass or steel backplate that sits flush against the wall, with a straight bevelled edge for a sleek, modern look to your home. Each switch is 6amp, 2 way which means it can be used for switching lights from either one or two places such as from the top and bottom or your stairs. All Jim Lawrence products are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop. We can provide bespoke switch configurations with the same classic design upon request. Please see our Customisations section below and submit the form stating your requirements. These switches do not work with intermediate modules. Please ensure paint & plaster is completely dry before fitting beeswax switches and sockets to a wall. Our switches are designed to sit flush against the wall so any residual moisture might tarnish the finish. PRODUCT INFORMATION Minimum Back Box Depth: 35mmDimensions: 8.6W x 8.6H (cms)Wallpaper Illustrated: Kent by SandersonFAQs: For more information about our switches please read our guide, Everything you Need to Know about Switches and Sockets.Wiring: How to Wire Switches And SocketsFinish: Beeswax - a traditional metalworking technique used since Tudor times to give a rustic, soft black finish. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives it a lovely soft black wrought iron effect that looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be re-waxed occasionally.Kindly note, we do not recommend the beeswax finish for use in a humid environment, as it is harder to maintain and may rust. We feel Matt Black is a preferable option. CUSTOMISATIONS This product can be customised for a small additional cost dependant on the number of customisations required. Alternative Edge: can be supplied with a hammered edge for a more rustic feel.Finish Options: can be supplied in nickel with a chrome push button and any of our painted finishes - clay, old gold, old ivory, plain ivory, slate grey and shaker green - with a brass, black, steel or chrome push button.
