DESCRIPTION Our fabulous 19mm Antique Brass reeded curtain poles are the perfect companion for your curtains, ensuring they will continue to look good for years, in whichever room you hang them. Handmade at Jim Lawrence from natural, unlacquered brass and with a selection of lovely finials to choose from, they have a classic, weighty quality that will give you endless pleasure looking at them. Our brass curtain rods are available in two diameters, 19 and 25mm, and are made to measure. Please Choose from a range of 19mm finials to fit this pole. Pole Length Any length of pole can be ordered, but if over 180cm long we would recommend using a central support bracket If over 210cm long the pole will be supplied in two (or more) equal parts with a joiner rod. The join will be covered by your central bracket. Due to the weight of brass, we recommend a maximum pole length of 360cm. For longer lengths please see our range of forged iron poles. Brass FinishYou may notice a slight variation in tone between our antique brass poles and the accessories. This is because the brass used to make our poles is formed differently from the brass we use for our accessories and they absorb antiquing solution at different rates. The antiquing solution is an ageing accelerator which, over time, will continue to mature and darken. They will never be a perfect match, but over time both should dull down to a similar, tarnished finish. We suggest you put the poles up and leave them for 8-12 weeks to darken and even in colour naturally. For more information, please see our Curtain Pole FAQs KNOWLDGE BASE GUIDES How To Measure For A Curtain PoleCurtain Pole FAQsBespoke Curtains & Blinds FINISH Antiqued Brass: Our most popular finish created by treating solid brass with antiquing solution to speed up the natural tarnishing process to create a lovely aged look that will darken naturally over time. We recommend that you regularly buff your curtain pole with a soft cloth to remove any dust that may gather on the top and prevent it from settling on the curtains. Rubbing a candle along the top of the curtain pole will aid the smooth movement of the rings along the pole and also help prevent a build up of dust.
