In an age when adornment was unaffordable for most, blacksmiths designed home fittings to be as pretty as they were practical, so these heavy duty hinges will not only look good on your doors, but should last a lifetime.
Shown above in our polished finish, this hinge is made in our forge and then painted in our metallic polished paint for a lacquered steel appearance. All Jim Lawrence products are made using traditional metalworking techniques that have been passed down through the generations and are hand finished to the highest standards at our Suffolk workshops.
These 16.5cm Suffolk hinges are a combination of strap and butt hinges, suitable for hanging most sized doors as well as cabinets and trunk or chest lids. Generally used in pairs and fitted to the top and bottom of your door, you may need to use a third in the middle for larger or heavier doors.

Finish: Polished - a gunmetal finish that highlights the natural colour of polished, lacquered iron for a vintage or industrial look that suits a contemporary setting and will update a traditional one.
