DESCRIPTION
A stunning 1 gang rotary dimmer switch hand forged from solid natural brass and lightly antiqued for an elegant, aged look that will add a touch of contemporary style to any room in your home. Our dimmer switch plates are all made with a slimline brass or steel back plate that sits flush against the wall, with either a straight bevelled edge for a sleek, modern look to your fittings, or an uneven, hammered edge for a more rustic feel.

Jim Lawrence dimmers incorporate 120w trailing edge modules that are suitable for good quality dimmable LED bulbs, incandescent bulbs and dimmable CFL bulbs. They are also compatible with good quality dimmable electronic transformers. Each dimmer switch is 2 way which means it can be used for switching lights from either one or two places. Higher wattage dimmer modules are available on request. Please call our sales team for more information.

Maximum Load: 1-10 LED or halogen bulbs up to max of 120W

Finish: Antiqued Brass -beautiful, natural finish produced by distressing brass to create a soft patina that is then treated with antiquing solution to speed up the natural tarnishing process and create a lovely aged look that will darken naturally over time. To find out more, see our Product Finish pages and How To Clean Brass & Copper.

Suitable for

  • Dimmable LED Lighting
  • Good quality dimmable electronic low voltage transformers (including those requiring trailing-edge control)

Not suitable for

  • Non-dimmable LED lighting
  • Non-dimmable fluorescent bulbs and tubes
  • Wire-wound or toroidal transformers
  • Electric motors (e.g. Fans)
  • TRIAC dimmable drivers (Choose V-Com series dimmers)

FAQS

ARE THEY COMPATIBLE WITH SMART BULBS?


Yes our switches and can be used with smart bulbs. Just leave them switched on so the bulbs can be controlled remotelyvia the internet and wifi.

WILL THEY WORK IN THE USA? 


No, the USA uses a different electrical current with a much lower voltage than the UK so our switches will not work. We can make many of our lights suitable for United States domestic applications, but they are not, as standard, UL approved for use in commercial and public installations.

WHAT IS AN INTERMEDIATE? 


An intermediate switch allows you to operate your lights from three locations, so from a landing as well as from the top and bottom of the stairs, or from either side of the bed as well as by the door in a bedroom. Intermediate switches are ideal for rooms where there are multiple entrances.

CAN I COOSE A DIFFERENT COLOUR COMBO?


Yes, we can often make our switches and sockets to your colour specifications as a bespoke modifictaion. Any modifications to our standard products incur a small additional fee to cover the cost of the time it takes to make them and there may be an extended delivery time.
