All our silk candle shades have a fabulous natural sheen and distinctive weave that makes them stand out from the rest, however, as a natural fabric they do need looking after as they can fade and deteriorate over time. We make this beautiful shade by hand, with a pendant fitting. We also make it to fit a lamp base. The fabric is made using raw silk yarns that are tightly woven together to produce a highly lustrous surface with natural 'slubs' ( lumps and bumps of thickened yarn) that are characteristic of silk but may not be everyone's taste, especially if you are after a more uniform look. Natural silk may also fade over time, especially in darker colours.We always recommend orderings a free swatch to check the fabric is to your liking before you order.
