Our superb collection of classic French Drum lampshades are available in a range of sizes and fabrics for creating the perfect finish for your table, standard or floor lamp. With its gently tapering sides, a French Drum shade offers a more traditional look than its more contemporary cousin - the cylinder – and will wash your room with a soft, flattering light that will create a warm, inviting atmosphere wherever it is placed.
Shown above in our delicious Waterford Linen, this shade has a rich, sumptuous weave that brings a touch of luxury to your room, especially when used to freshen up your existing colourway or as an accent in a new scheme.
All our shades are handmade here at our Suffolk workshop by our team of expert shade makers from fabrics picked for a sumptuous quality that lends itself to soft furnishings. From the luxurious feel of silk and velvet, to the warmth of wool and simplicity of linen, there will be a shade that is perfect for you. Many of our gorgeous fabrics are also available as cut lengths and cushions if you are looking for a coordinated look and they are an excellent choice for freshening up an existing colourway or as an accent in a new scheme.

Linen
Linen is a beautifully soft, yet tough, natural fibre made from the stalk of a flax plant. With a thicker, slightly stiffer yarn than cotton, linen is a delightfully porous, lightweight fabric that softens with use and wicks away both heat and moisture, making it ideal for lampshades. It is also naturally hypo-allergenic. The weave has a subtle slub when looked at up-close which lends a charming simplicity to modern day interiors, perfect for creating a fresh, informal feel in a room.
