Light illustrated - Arlington Wall Light
Pendant Lampshade for ceiling lights, or where the bulb points down, only.
Our superb collection of classic French Drum lampshades are available in a range of sizes and fabrics for creating the perfect finish for your wall lights and table or floor lamps. With its gently tapering sides, a French Drum shade offers a more traditional look than its more contemporary cousin - the cylinder – and will wash your room with a soft, flattering light that will create a warm, inviting atmosphere wherever it is placed.
Shown above in our best-selling Isabelle Linen in Natural, this fabric is a beautiful grainy off-white beige, with flecks of brown the colour of wheatgearm that gives it a lovely rustic appearence. The weave has a fairly prominant slub that shows when light shines through it, making a charming lampshade that offers simplicity to modern day interiors, perfect for creating a fresh, informal feel in a room.
All our shades are handmade here at our Suffolk workshop by our team of expert shade makers and are also available as cut lengths and cushions if you are looking for a coordinated look. Linen is a beautifully soft, yet tough, natural fibre made from the stalk of a flax plant. With a thicker, slightly stiffer yarn than cotton, linen is a delightfully porous, lightweight fabric that softens with use and wicks away both heat and moisture, making it ideal for lampshades. It is also naturally hypoallergenic. The weave has a subtle slub when looked at up-close which lends a charming simplicity to modern-day interiors, perfect for creating a fresh, informal feel in a room.
