HOW IT WORKS

Not enough room to hide your wires? Wiring in period homes can be a tricky business, which is why our design team have come up with this neat little pattress to give your pendant and wall lights some extra depth to the back boxes. The pattress is available in a wide range of finishes to give you a subtle but practical wiring solution. The Georgian Lighting Pattress screws onto your existing Georgian ceiling rose or backplate to give it extra space to house the connections and wiring where no other space is available, or where external wiring is required.
  • Screw your Georgian pattress to the wall or ceiling, then screw your wall or ceiling pendant light to it.
  • This pattress works with all wall and ceiling lights supplied with a Georgian ceiling rose/fitting plate, such as our Brooke, Scallop, Westbourne, Lambourne and Dulwich wall lights to name a few.
  •  Please call the Customer Service team on 01473 826685 if you would like to check you have the right pattress for your light.
  • See our Pattress Fitting Guide.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Dimensions: 9.4h x 9.4w x 1.7d (cm)
Distance between screw holes: 5cm
Finish: Beeswax - A traditional technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be rewaxed occasionally.
Handy Guide: Our Backplates Explained

Kindly note, we do not recommend the beeswax finish for use in a humid environment, as it is harder to maintain and may rust. We feel Matt Black is a preferable option.
