Not enough room to hide your wires? Wiring in period homes can be a tricky business, which is why our design team have come up with this brilliantly versatile, neat little pattress to give your pendant and wall lights some extra depth to the back boxes. The pattress is available in a wide range of finishes to give you a subtle but practical wiring solution.
The Georgian Lighting Pattress screws onto your existing Georgian ceiling rose or backplate to give it extra space to house the connections and wiring where no other space is available, or where external wiring is required. We also have a version for use with our Club, Holt and Fisher wall lights. This pattress works with all our standard Georgian ceiling roses, and those wall lights with a Georgian backplate such as our Brooke, Scallop, Westbourne, Lambourne and Dulwich wall lights to name a few. For more information and to double check your light is compatible with this pattress, please call the sales team on
01473 826685 and they will be able to help you.

Our Backplates Explained Wall Light Fitting Guide Finish
Beeswax: A traditional technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be rewaxed occasionally.
Kindly note, we do not recommend the beeswax finish for use in a humid environment, as it is harder to maintain and may rust. We feel Matt Black is a preferable option.
