The Hanson lends itself to any sized wall, looking equally good on its own in a small space or hung as a pair either side of a bed, dressing table or above your favourite armchair or sofa. It is available with, or
without a pull cord for maximum practicality. We recommend our
Clear Candle LED bulb as the perfect companion because it lights up to full strength instantly, will flood your room with a soft warm light, is dimmable and has a lumens (brightness) that is equivalent to a 40W regular bulb.

Jim Lawrence lights are made using traditional metal working techniques and every item is hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop. This Hanson has been crafted from solid, natural brass that has been lightly antiqued for a subtle, aged look and has a wonderful, tactile quality that befits its handmade nature.

Finish: Antiqued Brass - a beautiful, natural finish produced by distressing the brass to create a soft patina that is then treated with antiquing solution to speed up the natural tarnishing process and create a lovely aged look that will darken naturally over time. This product can be customised for a small additional cost dependant on the number of customisations required.
Finish Options: already available in beeswax, matt black, nickel and old gold. This item can be supplied in any of our painted finishes - clay, old ivory, plain ivory, polished, slate grey and shaker green. CAN I CHOOSE A DIFFERENT FINISH?
We can often make our products in a different colour as a bespoke modification, as long as the alternative is a Jim Lawrence

IS THIS LIGHT TWO WAY SWITCHED?
No, the pull cord is a simple on/off switch mechanism so the light is one-way only.
CAN I USE THIS LIGHT ABROAD?
The Hanson cannot be adapted to take an E14 screw in bulb for use in Europe, or rewired for use in the USA. It can be used in countries with the same 230V mains electric current at the UK, such as Europe, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Africa and the Middle East as long as you are happy with the design the way it is.
