Handcrafted at our Suffolk workshops, this eight-armed chandelier is designed to take shades and features delicate scrollwork and leaf motifs in our modern interpretation of the Florentine style of decoration that was popular following the Renaissance in Italy. This Pendant is made from high quality forged iron and finished in beeswax, a traditional method for darkening metal that has been used since Tudor times. It is supplied with 1m of beeswaxed chain, black cable and a ceiling rose in the same finish. We recommend our SBC Clear Candle LED Bulb as the perfect partner for your pendant as it has the look of a heritage bulb, lights up to full strength immediately, is dimmable and is as bright as an old style 40-50W bulb. We feel our range of classic candle shades are the best match for the Scrolled Pendant. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre.
