PRODUCTION GLASS BLOWER

Suffolk Glass is seeking an experienced Production Glass Blower for varied glass blowing jobs including crafting hand finished products to quality control specifications, cutting glass at your workbench while ensuring there is minimal wastage and maintaining a safe working environment, making sure you follow health and safety procedures.

Ideally you will have had experience in a production environment, and worked with different types of glass - fine fluted, fluted, clear and colour - and able to carry out bench and lathe work. Good numeracy is key, as is the ability to work without supervision after the initial training period.

You will be based at Suffolk Glass, Chilton Street, Clare, Sudbury, CO10 8QS and required to workk 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.

Today Jim Lawrence employs a skilled team of 130 engineers, welders, painters, seamstresses, designers, lampshade makers and technicians, alongside a cohort of support staff in their Suffolk workshop. Both Jim Lawrence and Suffolk Glass individually handmake their products in a time-honoured tradition, befitting their rural East Anglian location,  so  it was a natural step to join forces.
