Not enough room to hide your wires? Wiring in period homes can be a tricky business, which is why our design team have come up with this brilliantly versatile, neat little pattress to give your wall light back plates some extra depth.
The pattress screws onto your existing Club, Holt or Fisher wall light backplate to give it extra space to house the connections and wiring where no other space is available, or where external wiring is required. We also have a
ceiling fitting version for use with our range of pendant lights. This pattress is available in our antique brass, matt black and nickel finishes to give you a subtle but practical wiring solution.
For a guide on how the pattress works and how to fit it, please see our Pattress Fitting Guide > in the Jim Lawrence Knowledge Base.

Pattress Fitting Guide Our Backplates Explained Wall Light Fitting Guide Finish
Nickel: Our nickel finish has a bright, silvery quality that is more akin to Chromium than many other nickel finishes available elsewhere. Its lustre is created by plating solid brass with highly polished nickel then finishing it with a flash coating of chrome that will add to its durability. Nickel is a versatile finish that works well with any colourway and natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster or woodwork. It looks equally at home in a modern property as it does a period one and being highly reflective, will catch the light more than our painted finishes, so is great to use if you want to make a statement, as it will help draw your eye.
